ACT Testing Day: March 11th plans for seniors

Seniors and senior parents:

Please be aware that March 11 seniors will have a day to schedule post high school activities. Juniors and sophomores will be taking the ACT and PRE-ACT tests and seniors will not report to campus that day. They are given the day to do TN Promise community service hours, take college visits, meet with college advisors, etc. In order to be marked as an excused absence, the student must bring something to the office proving they used the day for the intended purposes. Students to do so will have their absence excused and not count against their attendance to waive finals. Please be advised, a parent note on this day will count as an absence that does impact waiving senior finals. We are sending this now so all seniors have time to make plans.

Remember- TN Promise hours MUST be submitted through the TN Promise website to count for the TN Promise money. Turning them in to Seymour High will excuse the absence for March 11, but it DOES NOT count them towards the TN Promise requirement. You will have to turn them in to both inorder to count.

Documentation for absences this day need to be turned in to Ms. Tammy in the front office on March 12 when students return to school.
